The easiest way to determine the location of a wasp nest is by the congregation of many wasps around a certain area, suggesting an entry point to the nest itself. Wasps will be driven by a desire to locate available food sources. This is made a lot easier for them in summer months when windows and doors are left open to mitigate the higher temperatures. However, this could lead to your food storage and preparation areas becoming contaminated, leading to further health issues.
Despite how easily our wasp nest removal specialists can make it look, we always advise that under no circumstance should someone, without the correct protective equipment and clothing, handle a wasp nest or attempt its removal. The physical injuries that someone can incur from multiple wasp stings are very serious and potentially lethal. A person can enter into anaphylactic shock from many stings, and in the worst cases this has been known to lead to death.
Leave wasp nest removal to the experts and our wasp nest removal specialists who are always equipped with protective clothing. Your safety, your family’s safety and that of your pets also is of paramount importance to us and we always prioritise this.
Wasp nest removal in Wigston that will clear out the pesky wasp problem in a flash.
Wigston in Leicestershire lies five miles south of Leicester city centre and Aylestone is nearby, as is Glen Parva, which has a young offenders institute, HMYOI Glen Parva within its boundaries. HM Prison Glen Parva is a male juvenile prison operated by Her Majesty’s Prison Service on the site of the former Glen Parva Army Barracks. Since opening in 1974 the HMYOI has expanded and now serves a catchment area of over 100 courts. Had the institute been around during the late 18th century it could well have accommodated a likable rogue by the name of George Davenport, who was born in Wigston in 1758, and was known locally as ‘The Dick Turpin of Wigston’!
His father sold ale in Great Wigston and George allegedly associated with young men of ‘immoral habits’ and soon turned his hand to highway robbery and fraud. He started out by receiving the advance money that was paid to new recruits upon joining the army. After a session at the inn with drinks at the recruiting sergeant’s expense he would then disappear, often on a stolen horse. By his own confession he had deserted no less than 40 times from various regiments!
For the next 18 years he operated on the highways around Leicester, making a practice of robbing the rich and giving money to the poor of Oadby and Wigston. He would often rob people whilst they stood drinking at an Inn, after he had made them pay for drinks all round. However in August 1797 he attempted to rob a butcher who proved the stronger and George was handed over to a constable. After being tried and convicted for highway robbery and fraud he was sent to the gallows at Red Hill where he was executed, but not before he fully acknowledged the justness of his sentence and expressed his remorse.
